Who Is Jesus? Why Did Jesus Die? Why And How Do I Pray? “How Can I Make The Most Of The Rest Of My Life?”

This week wraps up the last week in our Alpha Course, held on a university campus and filled with smart, curious students. We’ve eaten together, laughed and been sarcastic, and even had a weekend retreat to hang out, watch movies, and talk deep metaphysical stuff (if extraterrestrials exist, what do they think of us?) over a bonfire. It’s been a lot of fun, but a lot of learning too. We’ve asked and discussed even harder questions than aliens as we’ve gone step by step through the Alpha topics on faith and life. And while those of us who are believers have been challenged to think clearer and harder about our faith, others of us who are not… have become more so. We all felt God, one afternoon during prayertime. He finds open hearts, and if nothing else, the last seven weeks have opened us up to Him and the way He works in the world. To faith, without sacrificing intelligence. Which is what Alpha is all about.
