Much prayer is needed to break down these barriers and to open the doors for a Christian witness among the Abkhaz. Petition the Father to send the Holy Spirit to bring His peace.
Current conditions severely limit access to the Abkhaz, which is less than 2% evangelical. There are some evangelical resources available, but there is currently no active church planting effort.
Abkhazia is dangerous with police corruption and criminal agents used to maintain the peace. Smuggling is endemic and includes: radioactive material, weapons, drugs, human trafficking.
Religion was brought to Georgia in the late 3rd century. People appear to be Christian, yet, they lack a relationship with the King. Please pray for churches as they take Christ to the nation.
