”For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Eph 6:12).  For the past year, 9 believers with a heart for starting a new church in the center of Donetsk, Ukraine have been meeting, planning, and working with a member of the BLACK SEA ORTHODOX CLUSTER.  The enemy has been at work seeking to bring disunity to the church planting team during the long, hard winter.  Pray against the schemes of the devil, as the team struggles to have unity and clear vision.   Ask the Father to grant the cluster member wisdom, as he disciples and seeks to guide this team toward laying a foundation for a new church.

A member of the BLACK SEA ORTHODOX CLUSTER shares, “A key individual in our ministry to adult orphans has accepted Christ and has experienced a remarkable transformation.  Her life had been filled with abandonment, sex slavery, prostitution, drugs, violence… But now she is active in bringing others to church and to their Heavenly Father.  Her goal is to become a Bethlehem star that points others to the Son.  Please intercede that E.’s faith will be strengthened as she endures tremendous pressure and persecution.  Pray also for our efforts to find work and means of income for her and other adult orphans.”

Please remember TEAM EASTERN ROMANIA (BLACK SEA ORTHODOX CLUSTER), as they begin meeting weekly with the leadership team at Metanoia Church  to implement the National Bible Reading Campaign.  Team members share, “We hope it will be a big blessing to them.  We are very excited about this and are so thankful for C. and G., who will be assisting with this.  We really covet your prayers.”  Petition the Father to give them wisdom on the best way to do this so that discipleship and evangelism become a way of life outside of the building, as much as it is inside the building.

A member of TEAM BUCHAREST (BLACK SEA ORTHODOX CLUSTER), who has returned to Romania after 6 months in the U.S., is meeting every week with a small group Bible study.  This group began a little over a year ago and continued meeting during this team member’s time away.  Past. J., from a neighboring village, has been with the group since the beginning and is encouraged by the faithfulness of those attending.  Intercede that these two will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading, as they discuss the Truth with these unbelievers.  Petition also that this study will become the first evangelical church in this village and that its members will be the salt and light needed to draw their fellow villagers to a saving faith.
