TEAM MARSEILLE (WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN CLUSTER) shares, “Please continue to lift up our friends and near-believers in our group. Many of those within our little community are seeking and studying the Word, but have yet to make a commitment to follow the Son as their Savior. We continue to meet once or twice per month for fellowship and worship and we sense that they want to move forward together, but don’t know how. This is an exciting time! The Holy Spirit is moving. Just ask that everything that hinders will fall away for these near-believers and that they will let their personal walls fall down and learn to trust in the Son and each other to create a faith community.”

UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUP: Paradise – this is what many Italian companies believe they will find in France. The French and Italians have minor squabbles, but this doesn’t prevent them from being close business partners. The amount of Italian businesses in France has increased in recent years, as owners seek to take advantage of the “new paradise of Italian companies.” France has been a popular destination for Italian immigrants since the Middle Ages, but they have maintained their identity – even to the point of having special Italian-French comic books. Intercede that Italians will discover far more than good business opportunities in France. Petition that they will have an encounter with the Lord that will lead to eternal paradise in His Kingdom.

UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUP: Have you ever been told, “You are not welcome here?” That is the type of reception Poles sometimes receive, when they arrive in France. Higher wages and a better standard of living have drawn them to this country, where they often work as “cheap labor.” In 2005, during the run-up to the European Union (EU) constitutional referendum, the “Polish Plumber” became a stereotype for the low-paid workers, who were considered a danger invading France. The EU Constitution eventually failed, and many believe it was the controversial “Polish Plumber” that aided its downfall. Intercede that strong evangelical work will begin among the Poles in France, so that they will receive a warm welcome, when they arrive at heaven’s gate.

Intercede that they will be spirit-led, as they make decisions and plan for the school beginning in September, when students and friends will return, associations restart, and when they will step back into the swing of things. Petition that they will make new relationships, firmly establish prior ones, and find meaningful ways in which to share the gospel.

Kentucky Band in France

Today through June 25, a bluegrass/southern gospel band from Kentucky will be singing in France. They have scheduled an outdoor music festival, a concert in two Catholic Churches, and one in a Baptist Church that IMB personnel currently serving with the WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN CLUSTER started 25 years ago. This church and the personnel are now leading out in evangelism in the Massif Central, a very unreached area of France. Intercede for the team and all the logistical arrangements. Lift up the French believers, who are learning to be bold in sharing their faith, and ask that the Father will be glorified and people will come to know Him.

Crafts for Handicapped Children

A member of TEAM CORSICA (WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN CLUSTER) has taught crafts for handicapped children and shared her faith with the teachers and aides at a junior high school for the past 7 years. She will be retiring and leaving Corsica in the fall. Petition that she will see great fruit in these last 4-5 weeks before the school year finishes. Intercede that God’s word that has been sown will speak to their minds and hearts.

Easter Outreach in Corsica
