Malta is the tiny island nation in the middle of the Mediterranean, where the Apostle Paul shipwrecked in Acts 28. August 8, 2011 is the tenth annual “International Day of Prayer for the Maltese Islands.” Join with TEAM MALTA (WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN CLUSTER) in petitioning the Father to burden hearts around the world to intercede on this day for the people of this small nation. Due to recent events, Malta has been in the international news. Already there have been several opportunities for TEAM MALTA (WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN CLUSTER) to share, as people talk about what is happening in North Africa and the Middle East. As you lift up these countries also ask that those who have fled to Malta will hear the Good News.

In MALTA (WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN CLUSTER) at Christmas time they put the “Bambin” (Baby Jesus) in their windows. Some people pray to their Bambin and to Mary in their presepju (manger scene). The Maltese also go to midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. Ask that this Christmas many Maltese will meet the Son as their Lord and not just as a baby in a manger a long time ago.
