There are 270,000 Portuguese descendants living in Venezuela, who are less than 2% reached. Intercede that God will send someone to carry the gospel message to them.
Do you like to party? The Portuguese in Belgium certainly do. This long-established community is proud of both their heritage and their newly-adopted home. Portuguese bookshops, trade unions, and cultural associations exist in Brussels. A bi-cultural people, the Portuguese in Belgium love to work, raise their family, and play hard. Especially connected to pop culture, video-games, movies, and the internet, the Portuguese have some of the highest internet-usage per capita of any European peoples. Intercede that Christian workers will explore new forms of evangelization through social media and online presence to reach this group. Pray that the Portuguese in Belgium will fall deeply in love with God and channel their energy into worshipping Him.
UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUP: Life was once good for Portuguese landholders in Venezuela, but in recent years, it has turned into a nightmare for these owners of sugar-cane plantations and other properties. The government of this once hospitable country is currently in the process of redistributing land and estates. Violence and intimidation are common, as the state gains more and more control. Many Portuguese are seeking to leave this country, but there is still a presence there. Now more than ever, those remaining need to meet the Prince of Peace, who can grant them peace that is greater than the uncertainty, upheaval and unrest that they are facing. Pray for believers in Venezuela to share this Good News with them.
