Conversational English Classes in Romania

Members of the BLACK SEA ORTHODOX CLUSTER in ROMANIA request intercession for their small group that has agreed to start an outreach to non-believers through conversational English classes. The group presented this idea to church leaders and it seems that the whole church will have an opportunity to join in to reach the lost for Christ. There will be a meeting on May 20 to discuss details and get the ball rolling. Petition the Father to lead and direct this effort.

“Far Away Romany Missions” Meeting in Romania

From April 26-28, the ROMA CLUSTER will hold their FARM (Far Away Romany Missions) meeting in Romania. Young people from several areas of Romania will come together to study, prepare, and plan the summer missions program. Please intercede for these young people. Petition that they will have a sincere desire to go on mission with the gospel. Lift up cluster members, as they seek to discern the Father’s will on which of these young people to choose and where they will work. The Father has really blessed through this project and they anticipate another great summer.

International World Changers Coming to Romania

Intercede for the International World Changers (IWC) teams that are now forming to come this summer. Pr*y for a team that will be coming to Romania to work among the Roma (ROMA CLUSTER). Petition that those whom the Father is calling will be willing to respond. Give praise for a new Roma “sister,” who came to faith during the IWC preparation visit. May this be just the beginning of many more to be added to the “family” through the IWC work there.

Roma Work in Romania

Intercede for Roma work in and around Bucharest, Romania. Lift up ROMA CLUSTERS members and an on-going Bible study there. Pray for them as they reach out to a Roma area, where there is no evangelical witness. Ask for open hearts and minds as the Bible is studied in classes that are beginning at the Bible institute there.

National Bible Reading Campaign in Romania

Please remember TEAM EASTERN ROMANIA (BLACK SEA ORTHODOX CLUSTER), as they begin meeting weekly with the leadership team at Metanoia Church to implement the National Bible Reading Campaign. Team members share, “We hope it will be a big blessing to them. We are very excited about this and are so thankful for C. and G., who will be assisting with this. We really covet your prayers.” Petition the Father to give them wisdom on the best way to do this so that discipleship and evangelism become a way of life outside of the building, as much as it is inside the building.

Bible Study in Romania

A member of TEAM BUCHAREST (BLACK SEA ORTHODOX CLUSTER), who has returned to Romania after 6 months in the U.S., is meeting every week with a small group Bible study. This group began a little over a year ago and continued meeting during this team member’s time away. Past. J., from a neighboring village, has been with the group since the beginning and is encouraged by the faithfulness of those attending. Intercede that these two will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading, as they discuss the Truth with these unbelievers. Petition also that this study will become the first evangelical church in this village and that its members will be the salt and light needed to draw their fellow villagers to a saving faith.

Ski Camp in Romania

3650 Experiment

Please intercede as a member of TEAM EASTERN ROMANIA (BLACK SEA ORTHODOX CLUSTER) makes preparation to begin the “3650 experiment” on October 8, 2011. This team member shares: “The basic idea is to see what will happen (experiment), if I focus on two important activities: 1) The command to make disciples; and 2) doing the work of evangelism – day after day, for a period of ten years (3650 days). It is an ‘experiment’ with eternal focus.” Petition the Father to give him wisdom and discernment in seeking to fully equip 72 young men with the gospel and with group multiplication principles that are sensitive to the culture of Romania.

New Believers in Slovakia and Romania
