Tag: Spiritual Darkness
As winter continues in Germany, the weather tends to be dark and gloomy. The spiritual condition of most Germans is also dark and gloomy, as they reject God and continue in slavery to sin. Intercede with the GERMANIC CLUSTER that the Father will bring them out of this darkness and gloom by breaking their chains apart. Pray they will give thanks to the Lord for His faithful love and His wonderful works for all humanity (Ps. 107:14-15).
There’s something special about a cold, clear, crisp night in winter. The air feels clean and fresh and the stars seem to twinkle brighter in the dark sky than at other times of the year. The darker the night sky, the brighter the stars shine. Spiritually, Europe is a dark continent in need of some “stars” to light the path to God. Intercede that personnel in the EUROPEAN PEOPLES AFFINITY GROUP as well as national believers, will be “blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom they shine like stars” (Phil. 2:15 HCSB). Petition that the Father’s light shining through them will lead many to saving faith in Christ.
This month, the sweet sound of birds singing will awaken many Germans around 4 a.m., as the sun begins to rise. Unlike the short, dark days of winter, summer days are long and bright with few hours of darkness. Despite the visible light, however, Germans continue to live in spiritual darkness. Intercede with the GERMANIC CLUSTER that the Light of the Son will penetrate their hearts, bring conviction of sin, and lead them to repentance. Petition that they will embrace the Lord as their Savior and joyfully walk in His Light.
